The Top 10 Outdoor Places For Meeting Men Over 50 This Summer

As a single woman over 50, it’s really important to have at least two different ways to meet men.

Online dating works but so can meeting men in real life.

Now that summer is here, people are out and about so, take advantage of this opportunity to meet over 50’s men in your local area.

Here are 10 outdoor places to get you started.

#1 . . . Open Air Food Markets and Grocery Stores Men have to eat and unless their mom still cooks for them, they have to buy food. Many have turned to open markets for their fresh organic produce. BTW . . . I know a couple who met in the produce department of Whole Foods. They are now married.

#2 . . . Outdoor Wine Festivals are filled with people trying out new wines while listening to music. Take a friend, go enjoy the afternoon and talk to men about their favorite wines as you stand in the tasting lines waiting to sample the next wine.

#3 . . . Dog Parks are a great way to meet people who by the way are usually very friendly. Don’t have a dog? Borrow a dog from a friend who’d like a break from Fido’s daily walks.

#4 . . .Major or minor league sporting events Talk about a lot of men! Whew, you can just feel the testosterone in those stadiums.

#5 . . . Outdoor bars and restaurants can get pretty lively filled with people who want to have fun. Take a friend so you don’t have to go alone. Great conversations starters are things like what are you drinking that looks so amazing or what is that appetizer that smells so good?

#6 . . . Coffee shops have outdoor patios too. Strike up a conversation with a man about the beautiful weather or his dog who might be sitting on the patio with him.

#7 . . . Cruises The cruise lines have begun catering to singles with special events planned daily on the ship so its worth checking out.

#8 . . . Meet-up.com has all kinds of outdoor activities happening in the summer whether its hiking, canoeing, dining al fresco or events planned and geared for singles over 50.

#9 . . . Resorts are another great way to meet men. I know a couple who met by the pool. They were both reading the same book. It was a great conversation starter. The rest is history.

#10 . . . Live concerts under the stars. People bond listening to music as they talk about their favorite songs and bands. Be sure to head to the area that sells food and wine. Standing in line anywhere offers the opportunity to talk to men.
